Nimish ji has been a source of inspiration right since my college times, when I read about his works with Craftspeople in Rajasthan. His INTACH reports on Amber and restoration of Haveli for Anokhi and JVF that won one of the first UNESCO Asia Pacific award were the catalyst for conservation works in Jaipur and entire Rajasthan.

What I most admired about Nimish Patel as a professional was his keen eye for detailing and the aim to achieve perfection in each construction detail. He was a mentor for our work on documentation of stone crafts of Rajasthan and, I with my team learnt a lot from his constant critique of our work at various stages.

It was an honour to Nimish Patel on the Advisory Board of DRONAH since its inception.

We will always remember him for his contribution to the Indian architectural field for promoting the traditional and sustainable methods of construction.
