The Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, is spread over 511 acres. Designed by CP Kukreja, the institute was established as an academic and research institution that nurtures a vibrant community of purpose-driven intellectuals aspiring to create a better world.
This tropical modern residence is a refreshing architectural amalgamation of well-lit interiors and a contemporary exterior. TOD Design Innovations makes an attempt to spread a message about the environment and climate change through giant animal installations made out of waste at Indian Handicrafts and Gift Fair Exhibition, NOIDA, Delhi.
Designed by Edifice Consultants Pvt. Ltd, the building is oriented with its service cores on its shorter, East-West sides, and the largely open floor plate facing the North-South sides, held between the cores. The Southern side has imposing views while the Northern side faces the commercial hub and overlooks neighbouring buildings.
The club house for JAI Plant at Yamuna Nagar has been envisaged as a multi-purpose space which shall be utilized for the various activities the plant’s employees indulge in apart from their daily work routines, be it their sporting activities, social gatherings, an evening tea with colleagues and guests or for various workshops and seminars the company holds for its staff.
Continuing our dialogue; today we have Nilesh Bansal from Chaukor Studio to share his views. Along with his partner Tejeshwi Bansal, he started Chaukor Studio in the year 2012 in Noida. The studio aspires to provide regenerative design solutions. By integrating traditional formal expressions and design subtleties with modern materials and technologies, they strive to create ecologically sound and elegant building environments.
In May 2017, TDV – The design village – interdisciplinary industry centric institute – decided to move its exisitng campus to a larger permises to accommodate the growing number of students at the design school. However, reluctant to leave its exisitng eco-system of five years in its parent company – studio archohm – an architecture and design studio in Noida – TDV began scouting for room in the neighborhood itself.
Delhi saw the deterioration from one of the greenest city to the most polluted city in the world because of the increasing vehicular pollution. The architectural interventions serve as catalyst to the way forward. It inspires, recreates and proliferate resilience.
Undertaken as a research project to introspect contemporary architectural design for a residence, the building was conceived around first principles of climate, simplicity of materials and construction, with aninnovative take on what a modern spatial configuration for a home should be.
As a form, the building allows for a deep forecourt to bring in light and ventilation to the central parts of the building. A shallow lotus pond would cool the gentle breeze that flows through the home’s ample windows and ventilators.
Unboxed Co-working situated in Noida, India is one of its kinds. Designed by Noida based Chaukor Studio, its uniqueness is imbibed in its regenerative transformation from an old industrial unit to a dynamic co-working space.
