The International Association for Humane Habitat (IAHH) has been relentlessly promoting the goals and objectives of sustainable development, appropriate technology, innovative design and multi-disciplinary approach towards conservation, redevelopment and development. One of the key methodologies of bringing about this change is by motivating the young generation to participate in this process of bringing about change.

The IAHH International Student Design Competition is one such platform for the students to engage with burning issues to do with the environment and habitat. IAHH has hosted 15 design competitions since the year 2003 to provoke critical thinking and solution oriented approach in the young generation. This competition has seen participation from students from various universities from across the country and the globe.

IAHH is pleased to announce its 16th International Student Design Competition on the theme of INNOVATION AND HUMANE HABITAT. The design is open for students of architecture, planning, urban design, landscape architecture, and related disciplines of anthropology, sociology, economics, geography, social work etc. The jury consists of a diverse group of architects, planners and academicians coming together to review the competition entries and participate in the conference. The entries for the competition will be exhibited in the Rizvi Arch Gallery during ICHH (International Conference on Humane Habitat).

We invite one and all to be a part of this celebration of humane habitat and participate through your design ideas, as we come together to make a positive difference to habitats, architecture and Mother Earth – our only home.
