House by the Grove, at Nashik, by LADLAB

The first interior design project envisioned at LADLAB is a 1600 Sq.ft, 3 bedroom apartment located in a prime residential area of Nashik, Maharashtra. The soul of this house is its location – a top-floor apartment placed right next to a beautiful Gulmohar grove. All the balconies and rooms open up to gorgeous views of this grove, which is certainly a rare find in an urban context.

KAAS Design Studio, The Curvilinear Spine

The Curvilinear Spine, at Fergusson College Rd, Shivajinagar, Pune, by KAAS Design Studio

A simple curvilinear S shape starts at the entrance of the office, which artistically leads a user from the indoor to the outdoors. The conference room floats like a lantern in the centre of the office, illuminating the surrounding space. Understanding the client’s requirements, the spaces were designed to not only fit the physical attributes of design but to integrate natural elements to elevate the human experience. All of the interior spaces have been boosted with natural light which bathes into the curvilinear spine of the design. – KAAS Design Studio

Jain Residence, at Pune, by Red Brick Studio

Jain Residence, at Pune, by Red Brick Studio

Tasked with creating a space for a young, ambitious couple and their parents with a traditionally rooted background, Red Brick Studio (RBS) took a design approach that celebrated this duality and let the design reflect the same. The interiors were tailored to be warm, fresh, and engaging. Deep emphasis was laid on functionality which in turn led to highly customised furniture pieces and their details.

MA003, at Mangalore, Karnataka, India, by mamama

Located in Mangalore, this 3-bedroom apartment is a contemporary take on a traditional south Indian home. The seamless open plan allows a lot of natural light to flood the living-dining-kitchen area. The earthy polished plaster on the wall, the muted tones of the fabric play off the brass set-pieces and wood accents of the furniture making this apartment space with balance and grace.

The Atrium Project, at Pune, Maharashtra, by OHA STUDIOS

The Atrium Project, at Pune, Maharashtra, by OHA STUDIOS

We were approached by the developers of this mixed-use project to design the interiors of a commercial atrium, residential lobbies and common spaces. The developers were quite keen on exploring something that was different from the traditional atrium designs.

This 2500sqft Atrium – a double-height space in the commercial complex, was the blank canvas that we were to design for. As the entire volume was very rigid and orthogonal with shops at the entry level & offices at the first level, our design concept was to soften this rigidity. Accordingly, we introduced fluid forms into this bounding box. – OHA STUDIOS

Meenakshi Dutt Salon, at Chandigarh, by architecture aNew

Meenakshi Dutt Salon, at Chandigarh, by architecture aNew

The main goal was to create an ambience which highlights the makeup, hairstyle and attire of the client instead of overpowering it. Exposed Partal wood was used to compliment the neutral color scheme along with grass in the Spa area walls. Also using complimentary materials helped in creating a natural and calm environment as desired in any Spa. Arranging various kinds of workstations in the narrow width and the long length of the showroom was the main challenge  of the project which we created by smart design interventions like vertical mirrors on both the opposite walls to create endless reflections , creating an illusion of increased width of the showroom. – architecture aNew

Kanhiya Vilas – Luxury Banquet, at Sarnath, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, by Architects Studio

The concept is inspired from Universe where ceiling has been worked out to imitate constellations and galaxies. The range of material tone are articulated in interior as subtle floor to ceiling transition between reflective checker tiles, beige wallpaper and cushioned walls. The key idea is to create space complimenting the weather and surroundings by exploring volumes and creating sequential progression of experience using lawn, lobby and hall. The whole idea about Universe concept is to create something like that it seems like there is no ceiling and you are standing into the universe and enjoy the ambience with full of spiritedness. – Architects Studio

Publicis India Office, Mumbai , by Shiraz Jamali Architects

Publicis India Office, Mumbai, by Shiraz Jamali Architects

The old office of Publicis was located at Todi mills compound in Lower Parel. They occupied four floors of a commercial office building with each floor dedicated to one company of the Publicis Groupe. The design of the office was very formal, uninspiring and did not represent the kind of company they are nor the kind of outstanding work they do. Spaces packed with work stations and large partitions without any break-out spaces or discussion areas did not seem conducive for collaborative and team work. – Shiraz Jamali Architects
