Project Brief- When the clients approached us with a requirement of designing a luxury jewellery store spread out on 4 floors and the likes of which the country has not seen, we were elated with excitement! They wanted each floor to look completely different from each other. This however we explained that they may be different but will have to speak the same design language. Simply put, the clients wanted a stunning space that spoke of luxury and elegance.

Project Concept- Breaking the stereotype of a traditional Jewellery store in India, we went bold by creating a luxury boutique that has a self-indulgent aura around it. Every floor has a different colour combination, creating a new atmosphere but keeping the design language cohesive throughout.

The first floor is a robust theme with a large black St.Laurent marble background with sacramento green and beige as the complementing colours. On the second floor is a more feminine vibe with a blush and gold theme and of course the stunning green wall with exclusive pieces of jewellery displayed on it. The third floor is designed to accommodate clientele who prefer to shop in privacy and not be seen to the public eye. The store also has a special room for brides to dress up in their wedding attire and try on jewellery before they make the purchase.

As with every retail space, the customer journey is the most important and requires a great deal of attention and hence we at VAL created a whole different experience in this store. As a customer, you are seated not at a counter, but rather a private arrangement with plush sofas and armchairs. The jewellery products of your desire are then brought to you in beautiful leather trolleys that were also exclusively designed by us. As every piece of jewellery is exclusive, we have designed individual display units that are themselves a piece of art. Though there isn’t much on display on any of the floors, the trolleys are never ending and you will be left spoilt for choice. We also designed a coherent elevation in brass and bronze glass that is so elegant and striking that you will not pass the road without noticing the store !

ABOUT VAISHNAVI & VAL

Upon graduating in Architecture, Vaishnavi started her creative journey at Domus Academy, Milan. In 2018, she opened the doors to VAL Atelier. From the beginning stages of the design process, she can already visualize the end result and masterfully communicates this with her clients. As a designer, she effortlessly blends pattern, color, and texture to create eclectic yet timeless palettes.

VAL Atelier was born as a passion project to create unique spaces that speak from the heart of the designer without being a replication of existing spaces. We love designing each space with a language that is unique to itself. Starting with a team of three, we are now a full-service interior & living design firm located in Banjara hills, Hyderabad.
