Minimal Indigeneity Interirors of an Office, at Lucknow, by Advance Group

The Building is located on a site getting views of a lake and surrounded by mixed structures of Residential and Commercial. The idea was to make the design as Sustainable as possible, harnessing Natural Light, outdoor views and Evening Breeze. Along with that the design also aims to explore the vernacular character of the place with local Building techniques and fuse it with contemporary Architecture practice. Bodhgaya – where the Buddha received enlightenment; one of the holiest and oldest sites of pilgrimage for the Buddhist world. Our hotel – gently uses the vocabulary of brick details from the Buddhist trail – vaults to corbelled arches to stepped jambs that soften the edges of buildings and make them welcoming and timeless. Replete with courtyards and waterbodies that play with the sunlight – stained concrete vaults and keyhole windows  create dancing shadows and a lasting emotion of serenity and surrender. – SJK Architects

HSJ, a Jewellery Showroom at Lucknow by Ravish Mehra Deepak Kalra

Built as an introverted vault, the solid sandstone façade makes a bold statement with an elegant surface detailing in gold steel. The entrance is marked by a delicately detailed 30 feet high glass door, allowing a glimpse inside generating curiosity. It opens into a reception area with a customised elliptical red glass elevator wrapped by the spiral staircase as an iconic centrepiece.
