The vision of Awadh Shilpgram at Lucknow is to provide the single platform for all over the country craft and to enhance the lucknowi art and craft in itself. This is a place which gives the opportunity without the filter of brokers to the craft persons to elaborate, share, interact, learn and teach with their art of work directly to the buyers, to the general public and the art lovers.
We, at Murali Architects, took it up as a very serious effort and did it as free cosultancy without charging. We felt that the dead requires a better respect than the ones that is been offered at present electric crematoriums. we created series of pyramids and mandapams on the banks of the river cauvery which will create the desired moods to gather, cry, mourn, pray, pay respects, do the last rites and part with heart filled with the wonderful thoughts of the departed.
The site Being covered densely with trees, it was very important to mark the areas with dense trees. The green Hatch helps to distinguish these areas, green being densely covered with trees, areas without large trees. – Yamini Deshmukh and Asha Deshmukh
My initial discussions were about actual outer spaces that people are going to use and experience compare to inner working space. Yes!! Inner space is also most important things but I think designing space overlooking city, lake and mountain range, you will not consider designing interior first and then go for left over outer spaces. Its just that you carved out initial details like outer spaces and just accommodate interior spaces according to their function.
As his poetry and Art work the design for the new Bangladesh Bhavan at Visva Bharati, Santiniketan is coherent in nature. The way Tagore modernized Bengali art by spurning rigid classical forms and resisting linguistic strictures the same way the design for the new building blends with the surrounding natural environment of Santiniketan and is still modern in approach and construction technology with glass atrium and contemporary forms.
The 200 bedded General Hospital at Jamkhambhaliya is well equipped with various facilities like OPD, Emergency treatment etc. Various developmental strategies and design approach were enhanced in this building. Horizontal and vertical zoning was done as per requirements.
A crematorium for a charity trust in Coimbatore, South India. Bearing in mind the richness and diversity of rituals and beliefs, the designs is intended towards a coherent setting for each family to perform their rituals.
Maki and Associates’ design for the Bihar Museum creates an engaging and appropriately-scaled response to a prominent site and an ambitious, multi-faceted museum program. The Museum houses a rich variety of treasures from the region, and includes event and education spaces that nurture a newfound sense of pride and connection to Bihar’s storied history.
The Snohetta + SpaceMatters design for the Bihar Museum is designed as an iconic setting for the invaluable historic artefacts housed in the erstwhile Patna Museum, while providing an inclusive and vibrant public domain for the city, underscoring the importance of Museums in a contemporary democratic setting. This public domain crucially promotes a sense of collective ownership by engaging a broader audience in a deeper conversation.

The project was imagined as an iconic Science centre not only for the region but for the entire country. Imagery inspired from science fiction movies and natural curvilinear geometry formed the basis of the project.
The museum display is conceived as a chronological narrative, and it is not contained solely within the restored building, but is extended into the site by the addition of two pavilions that are interspersed into the landscape.
